University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), one of the country’s largest and best-performing NHS Trusts, is seeking a new Non-Executive Director to join the board. UCLH provides high-quality acute and specialist care to patients across London and beyond. A leading academic research hospital, UCLH also delivers excellent education to clinicians and produces world-class research across its many specialities, as well as playing a critical role as a key partner within the North Central London integrated care system. A new five-year strategy was launched in 2023 focusing on the delivery of high-quality patient care, investing in a diverse workforce, continuing UCLH's leading work in research and innovation, and ensuring financial stability through improving value and productivity, innovation, diversification of income streams, and the development of sustainable ways of working.
Chaired by Baroness Julia Neuberger, the Board is responsible for the development of the UCLH vision, strategy and values, and the non-executive team provides support and challenge to the executive team in their management of performance delivery. UCLH is looking to appoint a new Non-Executive Director to the team, succeeding Dr Jane Collins, whose term is coming to an end.
This is an opportunity to join the board of one the country’s biggest hospitals at a time of change, challenge and possibility. Working with a strong, cohesive board, the ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership experience, and a track record of commercial leadership in the private sector, ideally with experience in healthcare, customer-serving, multi-site services, or related sectors. UCLH’s new Non-Executive Director will be an inclusive, collaborative leader, able to act as a strong, positive ambassador for UCLH and its partnerships.
