This is a great opportunity for all sickle cell patients in East Anglia, Cambridge and North London to learn about the research process. It will also be a chance to ask questions freely, and air any concerns patients may have about becoming engaged with research.
We will also have a talk from Eliane Young, a psychologist from Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge, about a study which focuses on the psychology associated with getting older and living with Sickle Cell Disorder. This is the first of its kind in the UK, and will be open initially to patients in this region.
