• National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Cleveland Street

  The National Hospital for Neurosurgery at Cleveland Street opened its doors to patients on 4 April 2016. This brand new centre was developed to provide a new home for our Pain Management Centre, a nationally recognized centre of excellence for people with longstanding pain. Set over two floors the centre has group rooms and consulting clinic rooms as well as procedure rooms.Some multiple sclerosis clinics and outpatient appointments for the National Prion Clinic are also held at the centre.

  Every young person with type 1 diabetes requires an individual health care plan (IHCP) for school. As a team we have decided to use the nationally approved Individual Health Care Plans (school care plans) produced by Digibete. 

• National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery

  The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), Queen Square, is the UK's largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital. It provides comprehensive services for the diagnosis, treatment and care of all conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nervous system and muscles. Services include specialist neurosurgery, a brain tumour unit, the Hyper-acute Stroke Unit (HASU), an acute brain injury unit, the National Prion Clinic, a pioneering neuro-rehabilitation unit, the UK's first interventional MRI scanner, the largest specialised neurosurgical ITU and the only neuromedical ITU in the country. Together with its neighbour, the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, it is a major international centre for research and training.

• Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine

  The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) is a centre for evidence-based practice, education and research, specialising in chronic and complex medical conditions. Our mission is to provide a person-centred, holistic approach, including self-care, in order to help people with chronic and complex medical conditions live well and feel better. Our approach considers the whole person and their environment in the quest for optimal health and wellbeing. In order to achieve this, we provide a combination of lifestyle strategies, medical, physical and psychological treatment, as well as advice on safe and appropriate use of complementary therapies. We also deliver and encourage self-care approaches which can continue to be used by patients after discharge. All RLHIM services are outpatient-based and are staffed by experienced healthcare professionals.

• Acute Medical Unit (AMU)

  The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 56-bed unit located on the first floor of University College Hospital. Its primary role is to provide rapid definitive assessment, investigation and treatment for patients admitted urgently or as an emergency from the Emergency Department, and/or referred by their GP.

  Urology services and thoracic surgery are now provided at University College Hospital at Westmoreland Street. Cardiac services have transferred from UCLH to the Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, new services have moved into the hospital. The following services are based at the University College Hospital at Westmoreland Street: Thoracic Surgery Inpatient Stone Team Services (patients being admitted for operations) Robotic Surgery inpatients Andrology inpatients Male reconstructive inpatient surgery Adolescent urology inpatients Urological Cancer patients Functional restorative and female urology inpatients All urology outpatients clinics

• Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health

  Patients with sports injuries will be treated by UCLH clinical teams at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH) located on the second floor, 170 Tottenham Court Road. The ISEH is a collaboration between leading health, academic and sports organisations – UCLH, UCL, British Olympic Association, English Institute of Sport and private hospital group HCA - which have come together to provide patients with the level of care and expertise only previously available to elite sports men and women.

• Maternal medicine

  The Maternal Medicine team provides care for women with pre-existing medical disorders or pregnancy-related medical conditions. We work in a multidisciplinary team of doctors and midwives in order to provide the best standard of care for women and their babies.
