Support available at the Macmillan Support and Information Service

  • Benefits and welfare advice

For patients aged 18 or over who are under the care of an oncology or haematology consultant at the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).

We offer telephone and face-to-face appointments. You can call us to book an appointment or ask a healthcare professional to refer you.

People with cancer are entitled to free NHS prescriptions. To find out more, please speak to your GP, hospital pharmacist or the Macmillan Support and Information Service (see page 1 for contact details). Discretionary housing payments and food banks

Check your local council website for details.

Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)

To claim SSP, contact your employer.

Contact your local council if you need to make a claim for:

  • housing benefit (for existing claimants only or those of pension age)
  • council tax support, and
  • blue badges for disability parking.
