Patient choice
If your GP thinks you need to be referred to see a multiple sclerosis specialist for evaluation of disease-modifying therapy, you can choose any hospital in the country. This means that regardless of where you live, you have the right to be seen at the NHNN. In the longer term it may be more practical and more safe to be seen at a local hospital and this is something that the MS team will discuss.
GP referrals
GP referrals can only be made using the eReferral system. Referrals will then be triaged and, if accepted, an appointment will be sent out.
GPs querying progress of referrals should email the team at uclh.
