How to organise a COVID-19 Vaccination

Covid-19 vaccinations will be given from Thursday 3 October 2024.

You can book, change, or cancel a COVID-19 vaccination appointment online - NHS (www.nhs.uk)

Or you can call 119 free of charge to book over the phone if you cannot book online. You can speak to a translator if you need to.

The benefits of COVID-19 vaccination

Getting vaccinated gives you the best protection against COVID-19.

The vaccines help:

  • reduce your risk of getting seriously ill or dying from COVID-19. Some people are known to be more at risk of severe illness from COVID-19 and it can make some otherwise healthy people very ill, too.
  • reduce your risk of catching COVID-19, and therefore reduce your risk of needing time off work due to COVID-19-related illness.
  • reduce your risk of spreading COVID-19 to others, helping you to look after your family, friends, colleagues and community.
  • protect against COVID-19 variants. The virus that causes COVID-19 changes over time; having all vaccine doses you are eligible for provides the best protection against future variants.
