Have you been told that you might be at risk of developing lymphoedema? If so, book your place at our Understanding lymphoedema workshop taking place on Thursday 16 May, from 10.30am to 12pm.
Lymphoedema is a swelling caused by a build-up of fluid. It happens when cancer or cancer treatments damage your lymphatic system (your body’s fluid drainage system). At the workshop, we'll talk to you in more detail about what lymphoedema is and how your lymphatic system works. We’ll also help you to understand how to reduce your risk of lymphoedema. You'll have the chance to meet lymphoedema experts and ask them any questions you might have.
The workshop is for anyone who's had, or is having, cancer treatment at UCLH. It will take place at the Macmillan Support and Information Service, on the ground floor of the Cancer Centre.
