Professional background
Krupti Denhard is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital and a Specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontology and Endodontics. Krupti graduated with Honours from the University of Manchester in 2000 and initially worked in both a general as well as an industrial dental practice and additionally as prison dentist, in Oxfordshire. Subsequent to this, she undertook several Senior House Officer posts at various hospitals and in a variety of disciplines, including Restorative Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Paediatric Dentistry.
In 2004, she undertook a five higher specialist training programme in Restorative Dentistry at UCLH alongside completing a Masters in Conservative Dentistry and Certificate in Conscious Sedation and Pain Management. She completed her Intercollegiate Specialist Fellowship in 2008 and was appointed as a Consultant to the Department of Prosthodontics in 2009. Her clinical interests especially include rehabilitation of patients presenting with complex and multidisciplinary treatment needs (eg cancer/cleft/ hypodontia) that require implant rehabilitation and soft tissue surgery. She is also committed to minimally invasive dentistry and the preservation of tooth structure via adhesive technology as well as management of patients with complex occlusal ("bite") issues. Other key interests include removable prosthodontics particularly for patients with reduced bone support (atrophic mandibular/maxillary ridges).
Krupti is currently also an MRD examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), Honorary Lecturer for UCL and an examiner for the Oversees Registration Exam. Other posts have included Clinical Lead of the Department of Prosthodontics as well as Periodontology. She is also actively involved in and teaching as well as clinical supervision of junior staff and postgraduates and was previously Deputy Director for Dental Education (UCLH). As well as teaching and training of postgraduates, Krupti also undertakes lectures and hands on courses for Specialists, General Dental Practitioners and Dental Care Professionals.
