Mr Marco Adamo

Mr Marco Adamo is a consultant in upper gastrointestinal, bariatric and minimally invasive surgery. He is currently the surgical lead for bariatric surgery. 

He graduated in 1995 with full marks and honours in Palermo, Italy, where he also completed his training in general surgery. In 2000 he moved to the UK and has worked in advanced laparoscopic surgery and laparoscopic bariatric surgery. He trained for four years at Leeds General Infirmary,  and for two years at Hull Royal Infirmary, where he was appointed as consultant in 2006. He has been awarded an MD by Leeds University for his research on appetite hormones and bariatric surgery.   

Mr Adamo has two weekly outpatient clinics for bariatric patients every Wednesday and Thursday (BS00C and BS11D) and a monthly clinic for general surgery patients (MA11E).
