Professional background
Mr Khaled Dawas is head of the upper GI surgery service. He graduated from the University of Cambridge and completed his surgical training in London, Oxford and Australia. Mr Dawas leads the clinical audit programme for GI surgery and chairs the weekly surgery forum. Khaled supervises researchers at University College London and is an honorary clinical lecturer.
Khaled's surgical expertise lies in the field of diseases and cancers of the oesophagus and stomach, as well as operating regularly on patients with hernias, acid reflux and troublesome gallstones.
