Miss Rachel Tomson

Rachel Tomson carried out her undergraduate training at the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff Dental School. She completed her vocational training in Staffordshire and held House Officer/Senior House Officer jobs in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Restorative Dentistry at Cardiff Dental Hospital. Then for several years she worked in general dental practice (NHS and private).

She obtained her MClinDent (Endodontology) from the Eastman Dental Institute (University College London) 2004. In 2005, she gained her Membership in Restorative Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and entered onto the specialist list in Endodontics. After which she worked in specialist endodontic referral practices in Staffordshire and Central Birmingham alongside teaching postgraduates and leading endodontic undergraduate teaching at the Royal London Hospital. In 2011 she was made an NHS Consultant in Endodontics at King’s College Hospital and was the Director of the Diploma in Endodontics there. She is currently an Examiner for the M Endo Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She is currently a Consultant in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital and an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor for University College London.
