Professional background
Trupti studied medicine at University College London Medical School, and trained in both infectious diseases and clinical microbiology.
Her clinical training was based in London, including periods at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Royal Free London Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital.
Her interests in infections in the critically ill allowed her to undertake a PhD at Imperial College London in the role of toll-like receptors in cardiac dysfunction in bacterial sepsis.
She was appointed as a consultant at Whittington Health in 2018 and was clinical COVID lead during her time there.
She was appointed to consultant at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust in 2020.
