Professional background
Dr Phillpotts is a consultant gastroenterologist at University College Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital with a special interest in ERCP, EUS and Pancreatobiliary medicine. He qualified from St George’s Medical School and completed his specialist training in North London, which included fellowships at both University College London Hospitals and Royal London Hospital.
He has an interest in digital healthcare and quality improvement in improving patient experience and system efficiency. He continues to develop initiatives to improve the care for our patients. He is also enthusiastic about education having obtained a PG Cert in medical education at QMUL and he is regularly involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, in particular he has developed and delivered JAG ERCP skills courses at UCLH since 2020.
