Professional background

Dr Sheena Sikka BSc (Hons) MBBS MRCP (Acute Medicine) PG Dip Med Ed is an Acute and General Internal Medicine Consultant and the current Quality Improvement and Audit Lead for Acute Medicine.  She trained at University College London and completed her Post graduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Edinburgh. She has extensive experience during her speciality training within Intensive Care, Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology and Gastroenterology departments training through both tertiary and district general hospitals in London.  She is based on the Acute Medicine Unit (AMU) and Same Day Emergency Care unit and regularly participates in the general medical on call rota. 

She has subspecialised in Medical Education and is the current Training Programme Director for Foundation year 2 doctors at UCLH.  These responsibilities include ensuring the delivery of a curriculum-mapped teaching program, supporting trainees with pastoral concerns and complete their yearly appraisals.
