Professional background

Rajeev Gupta is the associate professor of haematology in the UCL Cancer Institute (UCL-CI) and a consultant haematologist at UCLH, where he treats patients with leukaemia, myelodysplasia and bone marrow failure.

He trained in Leeds and London, undertaking doctoral and post-doctoral research in MRC units in London and Oxford. He is the clinical lead for diagnostic haematology in both the Trust and at HSL Pathology, and the principal investigator for a recently established HSL/UCL-CI joint research programme to identify novel biomarkers in blood cancers.
