Dr Schwartz's research interests include capacity-building in pediatric emergency medicine and pediatric oncology care in sub-Saharan Africa. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications on innovative medical training curricula in low-income countries.
His current research interests include global health, drug development and inpatient care quality improvement.
