The rain couldn’t dampen spirits on Tuesday (21 May) of those who turned out to celebrate as the vaccination team at University College London Hospital (UCLH) undertook its 1000th COVID-19 outreach clinic.

The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery’s Professor Tabrizi is amongst a small number of exceptional researchers from across the world elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society today.

A new BBC documentary, The Jennings vs Alzheimer’s, explores the discoveries made by researchers at UCL and UCLH that have given hope for Alzheimer’s disease over the past four decades, and the very special family that helped make it happen. The Jennings vs Alzheimer’s airs on BBC Two at 9pm on Monday 13th May 2024 and will be available on BBC iPlayer afterwards.

UCLH is delighted that His Majesty King Charles III has accepted the patronages of University College Hospital and the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine.

An international clinical trial testing a novel cancer immunotherapy which may prevent skin cancer from recurring has recruited its first patients at UCLH.

The UCLH and Great Ormond Street Hospital paediatric neuro-oncology service, which treats children with brain cancer, has been designated as one of six new ‘Tessa Jowell Centres of Excellence’.

Alison Clements, head of operations, patient flow and EPRR, has received a medal in recognition of her work to support NHS preparations for the Coronation of Charles III and Camilla last May.
