Congratulations to Professor Mary Reilly – professor of clinical neurology and consultant neurologist – on receiving an honorary MBE for services to Medicine.
Professor Reilly has been a consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in 1998 and was appointed as a Professor of Neurology at University College London (UCL) in 2010. She leads the peripheral nerve clinical and research group and is head of the Division of Clinical Neurology in UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology.
Her award was published yesterday among honorary awards to foreign nationals approved by His Majesty The King, recognising foreign and Commonwealth nationals who have made an outstanding contribution to the UK.
Professor Mary Reilly said, “I am very honoured to receive this award, which has been made possible by working with an amazing clinical and research neuromuscular team in Queen Square, and with huge support from many other excellent colleagues at Queen Square, UCL and UCLH.”
UCLH chief executive David Probert said: “I’d like to congratulate Mary on this wonderful recognition. Her work is a credit to our patients, and the organisation.”
