The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) has announced that it will take industrial action on Thursday 26 January. As a result, its members that work at UCLH will be on strike on this day. CSP members will also be taking strike action on Thursday 9 Feb, though we are yet to hear if this will take place at UCLH.
We are working with the CSP to make sure we can continue to provide key emergency and urgent services on strike days.
London Ambulance workers are also taking strike action on Monday 23 January.
If we need to rearrange any appointments, we will contact patients directly to let them know. If you have an appointment at any of our hospitals, please assume this is going ahead unless you have been told otherwise. If you’re concerned and feel you need to speak to someone, please contact your clinical team using the contact information on your appointment letter or on our website.
Please note that there are also rail strikes planned for Wednesday 1 and Friday 3 February. Please be aware that services may finish early on the days before the industrial action, and start later on the days after. Please check with rail providers to see if your journey will be affected and make alternative arrangements if necessary.
If you need medical help or advice, go to NHS 111 online www.111.nhs.uk or call 111 unless it is a life-threatening emergency when you should still call 999.
If you’re still concerned then you can find details of our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on our website.
