Professor Karl Peggs was appointed to the Board in August 2024 as the director of research and director of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) UCLH Biomedical Research Centre (BRC). Karl is a professor of transplant science and cancer immunotherapy, UCL, and scientific and clinical director of the Sir Naim Dangoor Centre for Cellular Immunotherapy, UCLH.
